John A. Clapp was born in a small town located in central Illinois. John is a self-taught artist. He was inspired to paint by his great-uncle, Bob Brown, who liked to paint landscapes. John has won several People's Choice and Best of Show awards at local art shows. Most of those awards honored his realistic bird paintings in acrylic. After relocating to northern Indiana, his artwork also made a change. He focuses more on realistic still-life paintings in oil. John likes to sell his artwork so that people get joy from his paintings. He will always say to a buyer, "Enjoy your painting!". He sells a lot of his work on ebay. To find it there type JCLAPPART in the search.
